Cooper Spur Mountain Resort offers an amazing array of amenities to enhance your stay.

Named one of the best resorts in Oregon, Cooper Spur offers lodging, skiing and other activities to keep you busy during your stay on Mt. Hood! Take a look below for more information on our amenities. 

Year Round

  • Cooper Spur Old Growth Forest

    Step into a quieter side of the mountain beneath towering old growth trees and moss-covered forest floor. This peaceful trail area offers a chance to slow down, breathe deep, and experience the timeless beauty of Mt. Hood’s wilderness.

  • On-Site Hiking Trails

    A series of trails winding through the Cooper Spur wilderness await. Access them behind the tavern by following the road down shortly and taking the trail to the left.

  • Mount Hood National Forest

    Nestled on the north side of Mt. Hood, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort sits on 775 acres of forest land bordering the breathtaking Mount Hood National Forest. Guests have direct access to nearby hiking and biking trails in the warmer months, along with cross-country skiing and snow play opportunities in the winter.
    Known for its waterfalls, alpine lakes, old growth forests, and endless mountain views, Mount Hood National Forest stretches across a huge portion of Northern Oregon and offers year-round adventure just beyond our doorstep.

  • Dog Friendly Units

    We have six dog friendly cabins. All hotel rooms and condos are pet free. All stocked with a dog bed & dog bowls.

  • Wireless Internet

    Free wireless internet is available to our guests.

  • Pack-n-Play Cribs

    Pack-n-Play cribs are available for $20 per stay. Please call our office to make arrangements in advance as they are available on a limited basis. We do not offer cots or roll-away-beds.

  • Friendly & Knowledgeable Staff

    You will feel right at home here at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort with our warm mountain hospitality. Everyone here is happy to welcome you to our mountain home and will do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
    Our knowledgeable team is also always happy to share recommendations for local hikes, scenic drives, waterfalls, dining, seasonal activities, and hidden gems throughout the Mt. Hood area to help you make the most of your stay.

  • Crooked Tree Tavern & Grill

    Relax and refresh in our Crooked Tree Tavern & Grill where you’ll take a step back in time to share in the celebration with Mt. Hood adventurers from long ago. Historic photographs line the walls – a tribute to the early pioneers who explored and settled the area more than a century ago. The Crooked Tree Tavern & Grill is the perfect place for commemorating your special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. Our chef is dedicated to providing fresh local food “farm-to-table” whenever possible. Stop by for a glass of our Cooper Spur Summit Red Wine.

Summer

  • Free Scenic Chairlift Rides with Mt Hood Meadows

    All Guests receive complimentary vouchers for Mt. Hood Meadows Scenic Chairlift rides up Mt. Hood. Ride up and hike the trails back down to the base, or ride both ways! Meander through the beautiful hillsides of the mountain and enjoy the gorgeous summer vistas and wildflowers. Miles of new trails have been added that offer options for everyone, from families to experienced hikers who enjoy steep, rugged terrain. The trails offer views of waterfalls, creeks, wildflowers, Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson and the Three Sisters.

  • Shaded Gaming Pavillion

    Under the shaded canopy of our grand lawn tent, choose from a variety of activities including two Ping Pong tables, two Giant Jengas, Giant Connect Four, Bocci Ball, Lawn Dice, and more. Enjoy your lunch at one of our shaded picnic tables surrounded by scenic mountain views!

  • Outdoor Shaded Pavillion

    Enjoy our outdoor picnic area from late spring through early fall. Our BBQ grills are available upon request (seasonally), just let our front desk know prior to your arrival.

  • Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball and Horseshoes

    Open late spring through early fall. We have tennis, volleyball and basketball on the lawn and horseshoes in front of the Crooked Tree Tavern & Grill.

  • Fire Pits

    Sit back and lose yourself in the heavenly night sky or have a conversation with friends and family; fireside. We have two fire pits located just outside the Crooked Tree Tavern & Grill on the front lawn during the summer months.

Winter

  • Family Ski Area

    Perfect for beginners and families, our ski area features one lift, beginner to intermediate terrain, a rope tow, and a quick-service food area. Lessons and Rentals are available.

  • Nordic Center

    Complimentary Snow Shoe Rentals and Cross Country skis are available for guests looking to explore the snowy Mount Hood countryside.

  • Snowshoe Tours

    Come explore the beauty of Mt. Hood on a full snowshoe adventure. You might even catch a glimpse of the alpenglow! The tour starts with a quick shuttle to our ski area for an exclusive ride up the Homestead chairlift. On groomed snow, the tour winds its way into the Mt. Hood National Forest under a canopy of Douglas Fir and Hemlock trees.

  • Specials with Mt. Hood Meadows

    When you stay at Cooper Spur we ensure you have a reservation to ride at Mt. Hood Meadows. Guests are also offered discounted lift tickets to ride at our sister resort.
